Earlier today on State St. It's not one of those U.S. smart cars though. It's got an Alberta plate.
All prices include tax. I hate it when people/organizations don't state true total costs.
Best food deal in Ann Arbor: $3.98 Small Chili Cheese Fries at Red Hot Lovers
Not sure how it could be considered "small," they give you enough easily for a meal (and then some). Real melted cheddar on top of chili (with beans and ground beef) piled on waffle-cut fries. If you get it to-go, be careful not to let the Michigan cold get to the gooey cheese before you do.
Best coffee deal in Ann Arbor: $1.06 Small (11 oz) coffee at Cafe Ambrosia if you bring your own container
Fresher beans than Espresso Royale or Starbucks and usually a shorter line, with a total absence of Ugg-wearing sorostitutes. Really, every person should have an insulated container for coffee. I recommend a SIGG "Thermo" bottle because of their effective vacuum walls and solid aluminum fabrication, and the cap doubles as a cup (I love that). They also look slick. Bivouac sells them, but you can probably get one cheaper online (hell, you can probably get everything cheaper than Bivouac sells).
In a similar vein, The Goodness Tree delivers a variety of in-season fruit on the University of Michigan campus. In my last batch, I got a bunch of clementines, kiwis and grapefruits. They were good, but I'm not sure it's that much different from just buying from a grocer. They're definitely more expensive. I guess I don't jive all that well with the whole sustainable farming deal, though I don't deny it's a good thing. I'm too practical though.
